The look of a mother falling in love. Birth has changed me in more ways than one. Each experience has left me more empowered and more ready for the task of Motherhood. When you’ve dug down deep and pushed through the fire and come out the other side you KNOW there is nothing you can’t do. With the birth of each of my babies I have also been reborn, more kind, more loving, more patient, more confident than I was before. “THERE IS A SECRET IN OUR CULTURE AND IT IS NOT THAT BIRTH IS PAINFUL BUT THAT WOMEN ARE STRONG”. What I wish for each of you birthing Mothers, no matter how you choose to do it, is for you to know how STRONG you are. I am convinced there is no force on earth stronger than that of a Mother. You are strong, you are brave, you are powerful. The care I’ve received birthing at home from the most loving midwives has been the epitome of what prenatal/postpartum care should look like. It’s what every women deserves no matter where she gives birth, and it’s something I hope to see happen across the board. For now, it’s up to each of us to take ownership of our experience. No one else can do that for us. You deserve to be heard, seen, respected, empowered, and given informed consent (more on this later). You deserve to be treated with kindness and gentleness and like the strong, wise, intuitive being that you are. I want nothing else than for every women to have a positive experience. One that you can look back on with the most joyful memories of the day you became a Mother. Just remember, you were made for this, and you are so strong, mama. I am cheering you on in birth, and in all things! XO, E 💛 #erinsbirthtalks
