You are the gatekeeper...

“Our children take their flight into the future with our thrust and with our aim. And even as we anxiously watch that arrow in flight and know all the evils that can deflect its course after is has left our hand, nevertheless we take courage in remembering that the most important factor in determining that arrow's destination will be the stability, strength, and unwavering certainty of the holder of the bow.”

Jeffrey R. Holland

Mothers (and Fathers). You are the gatekeepers and the waymakers for your young children. We only have so many years to teach them. To help them grow into their own and confidently navigate this world. Love them big. Teach them that they can lean on you. Let them come to you for the little things and the big. Earn their trust now while they are young. You are their hero and they are counting on you to hold that bow steady. If we are not diligent; if we do not carefully watch and pray, the world would have them for it’s own. I’m not sure parenting has ever been so difficult but you are strong and no one can love your children like you. So wrap them up tightly in it and keep them close so that when they finally do leave they’ll always know they have a place in your arms.
